A thin-walled tubular container and a mold for making it is disclosed. The container defines a head portion with access means to the contents of the container, and a tail portion defining a sealed line in the tail portion, joining sides of the container into a sealed end with a flat plastic piece being formed integral with the sealed line and extending away therefrom. In accordance with this invention, a pair of spaced rod members are formed as an integral part of the flat, plastic piece, the rod members extending transversely of the longitudinal axis of the container. The flat plastic piece also defines a portion thereof between the rod members which is thinner than any remainder of the plastic piece spaced from the rod members. Accordingly, the rod members and intermediate portion therebetween provide an improved and stronger tail seal. A novel method for making such containers is also shown.

The invention relates to packaging for liquid products, in particular to an elastic tubular bag, and can be used in the food, chemical and other industries of the industry.
An elastic tubular bag is known that contains a neck, a sling, and a shank formed by joining along a straight section of the walls on the side opposite to the neck C 1.
In the known tubular bag, a portion of the walls adjacent to the gluing portion is bent to form a recess for accommodating said gluing portion throughout. package width, which protects the package from damage. The gluing area has a flat eye protruding outward from it. Typically, the tubular bag is made from elastic materials, preferably polyethylene, polypropylene or other similar plastic. However, such a package does not have sufficient strength and does not withstand the load during its transportation without the formation of a 5 BOB gap.
The purpose of the invention is to improve the reliability of the sealing package.
The goal is achieved by the fact that in an elastic tubular pack containing a neck, walls and a shank formed by joining along a straight wall section on the side opposite to the neck, on the joint portion of steaks

Package 1 contains neck 2, walls 3 glued along the rectilinear part i, and a shank 5 formed by joining along the latter on the side opposite neck 2.
Parts 6 and 7 of the walls adjacent to section C are bent to form depressions 8 for placement in the non-linear section i over the entire width of the package. Solid one-piece sealing rods 9 are manufactured together with a flat plastic section, while they are passed across the longitudinal axis of the package and are spaced from each other along the width of the package.
Typically, the bag can hold one liter of solution and has an average wall thickness of more than t t 25 mm, in particular from 0.25 to 0.5 mm for the greatest sealing effect.
The flat part of the plastic of the lugs 10 may have a thickness of approximately 0 mm, preferably 0.75 mm.

When filled with liquid, the elastic tubular bag may take various forms resulting from the molding. The shape of the pouch can also be changed during transport and vertical orientation by making it from an elastic material.
